Oscar Media Academy (OMA) is an autonomous institution under the private sector. Launched as Oscar Media Academy in 2005, the establishment is a joint venture result between the US media and UK media, with the Union of Working Journalists and the Newspaper Societies in some countries. The Academy has been successfully executing to promote professionalism and excellence in the media industry training in the past years and has laid the foundation to create the media persons of tomorrow.
OMA offers various media courses through its internal Institute of Communication, promotes research and development in the media field through fellowship programs, encourages journalistic spirit through awards, OMA will publish books on media and conducts national and international level training programs every year.
OMA’s name was chosen by the founders with the hope of their efforts to raise it in high-level respect as the other organizations have it in the international media world.
